LEAP is a group of teachers, parents and students from Bishop MacKenzie International School who wish to help local Malawian students to get a better education. The project was started around 1994. LEAP funds initiatives that come from the schools themselves but, fundamental to the LEAP ethos is the desire to benefit as many children as possible through our efforts. LEAP expects each school to demonstrate their willingness to make a contribution in terms of time and labour. LEAP funding is entirely generated by overseas donations and our own independent fundraising initiatives. LEAP puts every penny raised into our projects. We do not have costs to run LEAP as all the members are volunteers. LEAP is not affiliated to any religious or political group.
